We’re currently looking for an experienced Nightshift HGV Technician to join our busy workshop team in South Normanton. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled technician who enjoys working independently, solving technical problems, and delivering high-quality maintenance and repair work on a wide range of commercial vehicles.
What You’ll Be Doing
As an HGV Technician, your responsibilities will include:
- Carrying out routine servicing, maintenance, inspections, and repairs on HGVs, vans, and trailers.
- Diagnosing and rectifying mechanical and electrical faults using manufacturer diagnostic equipment.
- Completing defect repairs to a high industry standard.
- Accurately completing job cards, service records, and warranty documentation using online systems.
- Ensuring all work is completed safely, efficiently, and in line with company and manufacturer standards.
What We’re Looking For
To be successful in this role, you will ideally have:
- A minimum of 3 years’ experience in a similar HGV Technician or Commercial Vehicle Technician position.
- NVQ Level 3 in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance and Repair (or equivalent qualification).
- Strong diagnostic and fault-finding abilities.
- A proactive approach and commitment to delivering quality workmanship.
- An HGV licence (desirable but not essential).
